Product Information FAQs

Can I return or exchange the item?

No — all items, including sale, non-sale, sample sale, and digital products, are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I request a custom or personalised item?

At the moment, we don’t offer custom orders, but we’re always happy to hear your ideas and feedback for future projects.

Product Photography and Descriptions

We do our best to ensure accurate photography and descriptions, but colours and textures may vary slightly due to screen differences and lighting. Some photos are mockups and/or altered with photoshop.

Are the closing sale products brand new?

Some are brand new pieces, while others are samples. Samples are named in the product title, product details, and on the Sample Sale page.

What does “sample” mean?

These labeled ‘sample’ items were originally purchased as a sample to test design, quality, and concept before final production. They may have minor imperfections or variations that make it unique. Sample Sale items are sold ‘as-is.’

Are the samples clean?

Yes! All items are unused and clean, but as samples, they were handled during photography and selection, so slight signs of handling may be present. Packaging may vary.

How many items are available?

Quantities are very limited — often just one!

How long will the sale run?

Only while supplies last — many pieces are one-of-a-kind, and quantities are extremely limited.

Shipping Information T&C

Free Local Delivery

The customer is responsible for providing accurate shipping and delivery information. We are not responsible for orders lost or not delivered due to incorrect addresses or misleading shipping information. Deliveries are to the post box or front door only. We cannot enter locked buildings, gated properties, or apartment complexes where access requires a doorbell ring, access code, fob, or concierge.

If we cannot safely and quickly leave the package, we will contact you via email invoice to arrange redelivery with our shipping carrier, which will incur a shipping cost.

Please DO NOT choose this option if you are unsure whether your address is suitable.

Where does the Free Local Delivery apply?

If you live in the Bayside Area of Melbourne, Australia you may be eligible for Free Local Delivery. Enter your postcode at checkout.

Can I pick-up my order?

No, not at this time.

Can I make changes to my order after it’s already been placed?

We’re happy to help if your order hasn’t yet been processed. Please email us as soon as possible (info@modernbayit.com). Once an order has been packed or shipped, we’re unable to make changes.

Can I use discount codes?

All closing sale items are already heavily discounted, so additional discount codes cannot be applied.

Where do you ship and how much?

We are still shipping within Australia and overseas. Regular shipping fees apply. We ship all orders as quickly as possible, but please allow a few extra days during this busy time. We are not responsible for delays once an order has been shipped.
